Certrig
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Certrig is operated by Jabridgeco, doing business as CertRig ("Certrig", "we", "us"). We are a training provider registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). This page explains what personal information we collect when you take our online hazmat endorsement theory course, why we collect it, and who receives it.
What we collect
- Account and contact details: your name, email address, and phone number if you give one.
- License details: your date of birth, commercial driver's license (CDL) number, and the state that issued it. Federal rules require these to report your training to FMCSA.
- Identity verification: a photo of your driver's license and a selfie, collected by our identity provider, Stripe. We receive the result of the check and the name and date of birth read from your license.
- Payment details: handled by our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Course and exam records: lessons viewed, quiz and final exam answers, scores, attempt dates and times, and whether you left the exam tab during an attempt. We also record the IP address and browser information of each exam attempt.
- Messages: emails you send us and the course emails we send you.
How we use it
- To enroll you, verify your identity, deliver the course, and run and score your exam.
- To report your completed training to FMCSA's Training Provider Registry, as federal rules require.
- To send course and account emails, such as your welcome email, your exam link, and your completion notice.
- To answer support requests, prevent fraud and exam misuse, and keep the records federal rules require us to keep.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
What FMCSA receives
When you pass the final exam, we submit the following to FMCSA's Training Provider Registry: your name, date of birth, CDL number, issuing state, the hazmat endorsement class, the training completion date, and your exam score. Your state licensing agency uses this record to confirm your training is complete. We generally submit the same business day. Federal rules allow up to two business days.
Who else receives it
We use service providers who handle data on our behalf, only to run Certrig:
- GoHighLevel, for the course platform, customer records, and email.
- Stripe, for payments and identity verification.
- Vercel, for hosting our website and exam.
- Upstash, for storing exam records.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to respond to an FMCSA or other regulatory request, or to protect against fraud.
How long we keep it
Federal rules require training providers to keep training records for a set period after training, currently three years. We keep your enrollment, exam, and FMCSA submission records for at least that long. We may delete other information, such as support emails, sooner.
Your choices
- You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you by emailing support@certrig.com.
- You can ask us to delete your information. We will do so except for records that federal rules require us to keep, and we will tell you which records those are.
- Course and account emails are part of the service. Our emails include an unsubscribe link for anything that is not required to complete your training.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law. Email us and we will respond within the time that law requires.
Security
We use access controls and encrypted connections, and we limit who can see your license details. No online system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Children
Certrig is for adults seeking a commercial driver's license endorsement. It is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this page, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will email enrolled students.
