Certrig
Terms of Service
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These terms apply when you enroll in the Certrig hazmat endorsement theory course. Certrig is operated by Jabridgeco, doing business as CertRig. The Instructor of Record is Todd Bryson. By enrolling, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
What the course is
Certrig provides the online theory portion of entry-level driver training for the hazmat endorsement, following the federal curriculum in 49 CFR Part 380, Appendix E. When you complete the course and pass the final exam, we report your completion to FMCSA's Training Provider Registry.
The course is not the state knowledge test. It is not the TSA security threat assessment, which is a separate application you make to TSA. Your state licensing agency decides whether and when you may test, and issues the endorsement. We cannot guarantee any outcome with your state or with TSA.
Who may enroll
- You must be the person taking the course. Do not share your account or let anyone else complete lessons, quizzes, or the exam for you.
- You must be seeking a hazmat endorsement on a commercial driver's license or learner's permit. It is your responsibility to confirm the course fits your situation.
- You must complete identity verification before the final exam. This is a photo of your driver's license and a selfie.
Information you give us
The name, date of birth, CDL number, and state you give us must match your license exactly. We send these to FMCSA. If they are wrong, your record may be rejected or attached to the wrong person, and you may have to correct it and wait. We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect information you provided.
Price and payment
The price is shown at checkout and is a one-time payment. There is no subscription. Payment is processed securely by our payment provider. Any promotional code, including the founder code, is limited as stated when it is offered.
Refunds
Unit 1 is free, so you can see how the course works before you pay. If you buy the full course, you have a 10-day money-back guarantee: ask for a refund within 10 calendar days of your purchase date and we will refund you in full, as long as you have not finished all 13 units. After 10 days, or once you have finished all 13 units, we do not refund, because the training has been delivered. A completion that has been submitted to FMCSA cannot be undone. Email support@certrig.com to request a refund.
Course access
- Free preview: Unit 1 is free for one week after you sign up. After that week, a free account loses access until you buy the full course. The rest of the course is not available on a free account.
- Full course: once you buy, you have as much time as you need to finish. There is no deadline to complete the units or take the final exam, for as long as Certrig offers the course. If the regulations change and we update the course, you will be given the current version.
Quizzes and the final exam
- Each unit has a quiz. You must pass a unit quiz with 80 percent to move on.
- The final exam has 55 questions drawn from all 13 units, a 90-minute time limit, and an 80 percent passing score.
- You may retake the final exam with a fresh set of questions. After two failed attempts in a row, there is a 15-minute wait before the next attempt.
- Once you pass, the result is final and is recorded.
- Leaving the exam tab is recorded on your attempt. We may review attempts, and we may void an attempt and remove access where we find cheating, impersonation, or copying of exam content.
Reporting to FMCSA
After you pass the final exam and every requirement is met, we submit your training completion to FMCSA's Training Provider Registry. We generally submit the same business day. Federal rules allow up to two business days. We will email you when the record is on file. If a submission fails, we will contact you and correct it.
Our content
The course videos, text, quizzes, and exam questions belong to Certrig. You may use them for your own training. You may not copy, record, resell, or share them, or publish exam questions.
Accuracy and changes to the rules
We build the course from the federal regulations and update it when they change. The course is training, not legal advice. Your employer, your state, and the regulations themselves control in a real situation. Check the current text of any rule that applies to you.
Limits of our responsibility
We provide the course as described and will correct our own errors. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost work or delays at your state licensing agency. Nothing here limits any right you have under law that cannot be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If the law of the state where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived by contract, those rights still apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you enroll applies to your enrollment. We will update the date at the top of this page.
